Biochemistry Ph.D. students earn poster presentation awards

On March 30-31st, 2017, at the Annual FIU Biomedical and Comparative Immunology (BCI) Symposium, there were faculty, staff, and students from various institutions, including the University of Texas, Arlington; University of Rochester NY; and the University of Alberta; as well as 45 students from local high schools (MAST Academy and TERRA Environmental Research Institute) each day and a group of 30+ undergraduates and graduates from the University of Puerto Rico – Arecibo.

Now in its nineteenth year, the BCI Symposium ran for two days, offering various learning and networking opportunities that fostered interactions among attendees. Presenters ranged from well-established scientists to assistant faculty to graduate and undergraduate students. As in previous years, the participants and attendees found the plenary speakers and other speaker presentations interesting, informative and stimulating. You can visit the FIU NIGMS RISE Facebook Page to see some of the pictures!
